The Irish National Stud is a well-established thoroughbred horse breeding facility in adjacent to County Kildare. Guided tours are available at the visitor centres from visiting the various gardens to the museum. There are horse racing events that take place in The Stud in which all visitors can get involved.
The Japanese Gardens
The Japanese Gardens are ideal for an evening stroll and are internationally renowned as the finest Japanese Gardens in all of Europe. The aim of the gardens is to portray the life of man through horticulture: birth, childhood, marriage, parenthood, old age, death and afterlife. As a result, it is now bustling with 120,000 visitors annually.
St. Fiachra’s Garden opened in 1999 and captures Ireland’s monastic era in the 6th to the 7th century. Many say that St. Fiachra’s Garden beautifully paints the essence of Ireland’s natural beauty. There is a picnic area, toilets, 4 acres of woodland walks and free parking.
